***Conference has been Canceled***
In response to the recent proclamation by the Governor of Connecticut banning all public gatherings of more than 250 people through at least the end of April, as well as even tighter restrictions just put in place by the Mayor of Stamford, we and the Stamford Hilton agree that the 2020 Northeast Natural History Conference that was scheduled to take place in Stamford, CT, April 17–19, will need to be canceled.
We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause those who were planning on attending, but given the intention behind the proclamation to slow the spread of COVID-19 and thereby enhance the ability of the health care network to effectively respond to the growing epidemic, we are glad to be able to do our part to protect the health and well being of all members of our larger community.
We will be issuing full refunds to all who had paid their registration fees (those who paid by check, will be issued a refund by check, whereas those who paid by credit card or PayPal will have their refunds credited to the account from which they made payment). As it may take a little while to process all of the refunds due to the large number of participants, we ask for your patience and that you only contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you have not received your refund by mid-April.
Please contact the hotel directly regarding canceling any room reservations you have made.
We hope you and your loved ones stay healthy, and look forward to seeing you at next year’s conference … we are finalizing arrangements for April 2021 in Albany—will post details here once they are finalized.
