Opportunities after Northeast Natural History Conference

Publishing in the Northeastern Naturalist. If you submit a manuscript for publication to NENA based on research presented at the NENHC by December 31, 2018, you will receive a 10% discount (15% for students) on the publication charges. NENA is the premier natural history science journal focused on northeastern North America. Link

Subscription to Northeastern Naturalist ... NENHC registrants who would like to start a new subscription or renew their subscription to NENA receive a 20% discount off their subscription. Please send an email here requesting the conference coupon to self enter your subscription. Link

Participating in a summer natural history science field seminar on the eastern Maine coast ... The discount for these intensive 1 week long seminars is 10% (20% for students with a faculty member letter of recommendation). Most are offered for an advanced and professional audience, well-qualified undergraduate and graduate students, and amateur naturalists. Now in their 31st year. Link

Internships ... We are accepting applications for our summer field seminar season. From June 1st - September 1st, interns will assist with the day-to-day operations of the Institute, including helping with meals, gardening and maintenance. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated student who enjoys a collaborative work environment. Applicants should feel comfortable being immersed in a remote and scholarly setting and interacting with international experts and students of the natural history sciences. Room and board will be provided, along with a stipend of $200/week plus participation in two weeklong seminars. Send applications by April 30th to jill@eaglehill.us. Decision will be made May 7th.

Volunteering ... The volunteers who are helping on campus at Eagle Hill or from home are doing something that interests them. They have the satisfaction of knowing that their efforts are contributing to a greater community good in a way that is also personally very rewarding each time they think about Eagle Hill. Link
