Eagle Hill Masthead

Weekly astronomy viewing evenings at Eagle Hill

The Eagle Hill Institute invites members of the public to view the wonders of the night sky through its recently donated 12-inch, Meade telescope every clear Friday evening during the months June, July, and August.

Those interested in attending an astronomy viewing evening are asked to please contact the Eagle Hill Institute the morning of the event for information on the timing of that night's viewing or for notification of weather-related cancellation.

Attendees are encouraged to learn how to operate the Eagle Hill Telescope and become volunteer astronomy evening leaders in exchange for opportunities to reserve time with the telescope for personal astronomy projects. The telescope system, which is capable of automatically navigating to and tracking thousands of night sky objects, is very user-friendly and can be operated by anyone with an interest in astronomy.

For additional information on Eagle Hill’s public astronomy programs, please email jason@eaglehill.us or call 207-546-2821 #207.
