Study retreats

Eagle Hill is open year round for guests who would like to come for a study retreat for self-directed studies. In between ones studies one can enjoy hiking the trails in the Institute's 150 acre nature reserve on the ocean, browse the 10,000+ volume natural history and art history library, and enjoy reading by the fireplace. Normal room costs apply. Guests are welcome to spend some time each day on a volunteer project.

Rooms are available in the cabins during the summer and in the large classroom building in the fall through spring. The Commons Building with its library and fireplace is open all year. The kitchen in the Commons Building is open for study reatreat guests for self-cooked meals from the fall through spring. Meals are served during the summer and during workshop weekends in the fall at normal rates.

Microscopes are available for those who would like to use them.

Events at Eagle Hill ... One can plan ones study retreat stay to coincide with lectures, concerts, and movies.
