The Caribbean Natural History Conference is an online forum for researchers, natural resource managers, students, and naturalists. We welcome presentations on natural history science and conservation (freshwater, marine, and terrestrial organisms and environments) and applied field biology of the Caribbean islands and coastal circum-Caribbean mainland. The conference aims to help identify research and management needs, connect researchers, foster friendships, and encourage a greater region-wide interest and indeed global interest in the greater Caribbean region by bringing people with diverse backgrounds together to learn from each other.
By hosting the conference online, this encourages the broadest-possible regional and global participation, while factoring out issues of travel restrictions and costs.
The conference is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, December 2nd and 3rd. The conference runs on Puerto Rico time with two morning sessions (10–1:00) and two afternoon session 1:30–4:30).
Registration is not yet open.
Presentations may be given in English, Spanish, or French, with the understanding that PowerPoint slides need to include English labeling. The correspondence and hosting language is English. |
