Announcing the 2024 Northeast Natural History Conference

... back in Albany!!

We were very impressed with how well the new Albany Capital Center facilities suited the NENHC in 2022 and found the staff and food to be first rate, plus we heard lots of positive comments from attendees about the venue. Thus, we are excited to once again bring the meeting there for 2024.

You won't want to miss the Northeast's largest regional forum for researchers, natural resource managers, students, and naturalists to present current information on the varied aspects of applied field biology (freshwater, marine, and terrestrial) and natural history for the Northeastern United States and adjacent Canada. It will serve as a premier venue to identify research and management needs, foster friendships and collegial relationships, and encourage a greater region-wide interest in natural history by bringing people with diverse backgrounds together. Every year, we receive affirmative feedback about how friendly, collegial, and enjoyable the conference is and how it is especially welcoming of and valuable to students.

Call for participating organizations

Call for exhibitors

To help encourage a particularly engaging conference program and in recognition of the effort that goes into soliciting speakers and putting together a cohesive, informative session, this year we again will be offering a rebate of 50% off the conference registration fee to those who propose a session and successfully recruit presentations to fill it.

Call for Coordinators and Judges for Student Poster Presentation Awards

The longtime coordinators of the Poster Judging have stepped down and we are looking for an individual or two to take over the reins so we can continue to offer this valuable and much appreciated aspect of the conference. Carmen and Amy have developed a protocol, information packets, and judging forms that all seem to work quite well and are willing to share those and be available to answer questions to help make the transition a smooth and easy one. If you are interested in spearheading this effort, please contact us!

We are also looking for volunteer judges to decide recipients for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards, with cash prizes of $300, $200, and $100, respectively, in each category.

Volunteer judges will be invited to a complimentary Saturday dinner. If you are interested in volunteering, please indicate your willingness by checking the box on your registration form.
